wake up in sleep mode

Postby vhl » Sat Jan 09, 2016 5:42 am

I have an Intel Haswell core i7-4500U CPU Fanless Mini PC, and I like it except that in sleep mode, I could not wake it up by using keyboard or mouse, but I have to use power button.
Please help, thanks.

Oh, I found a way that put 0 in the setting, then it will change to "never", and still not working.

It is working as soon as the power led is till on, by then if hitting the keyboard, it is waken up. But when the led is off, I have to press the power button to wake it up.

I have the exact same issue on the I7-5650U Mini PC.

Windows 7/10/Openelec - And it's really easy to replicate.

-Send the PC to Sleep mode(S3 state).
-The PC is suspended to RAM. (NOTICE: The LED does not start blinking as it normally should do - It goes completely off!??)
-Try to wake with an USB unit(Keyboard, Mouse etc) - Nothing happens.
-Press the power button and the PC resumes again

Hence this happens in whatever OLS you choose, this is either a config in BIOS or a BUG in BIOS. I believe it is the last.''

I do not see any options in BIOS related to "Wake-on-USB" - Only Wake-on-LAN, WLAN and RTC.

Can you please assist in resolving this and maybe get an technician onboard on this.

If you can resolve this issue, I am quite sure that I will buy another box as HTPC.

Please contact me directly if you need any testing, documentation etc.

does it mean the hardware does not support this mode?
