the sim slot on the computer is just a card reader, you must have 3G card's software to install on the PC and dial up for internet. The software supplied by 3g/4g internet supplier, I will show you how to add sim card into the card slot soon.

SIM cards are used in cell phones to identify the user to the network. They are Subscriber Identity Modules. Internet providers are using cellular type systems to provide mobile broadband through a Wide Area Network (WAN). Until recently, laptop users would purchase an 'air card' (PCMCIA or USB) with the service which usually requires a contract and monthly fee. The SIM is in the air card.

Newer laptops, like Dell Inspiron 1420, can have the WAN circuits built-in -- you just need to purchase a subscription and install the SIM. Then you would have internet wherever the provider has cell service.

Hystou mini pc also follow the same tech as laptops, you can follow the same steps to using 3g and 4g mobile wifi on our fanless mini pc.

Kevin.

can you do a demo of this working?

I thought you needed a modem build in regardless of the SIM connection.

Thanks

Michael.
