Hystou MiniPC I7-5650U doesn't turn on after Power off

Hi technician support,


The my MotherBoard of the Hystou MiniPC I7-5650U has this defect:

" doesn't turn on after Power OFF!"

1. I plug in Power supply (Power Supply Green LED is on).
The MiniPC doesn't turn on.

2. Pressing the Power Button:
The Blue LED lights up only for a moment and the motherboard doesn't not work
(The motherboard doesn't power on).

I checked the power supply with the tester and is ok!
The Power Supply works well (12 Volt - 5 Ampere).

3. After several attempts (pressing the power button) and after few minutes or few hours the motherboard turns on and works again... But if I turn it off (Power Button or ShutDown from start menù) the motherboard doesn't work again and doesn't power on (Blue LED lights up only for a moment)

** Note**
This defect occurs every time you connect the power supply to the motherboard or after removing the power supply for a few minutes from motherboard.

The CPU thermal paste is OK!



What can be the cause ? How can we fix it?

I tried with other Memory RAM DDR3L but it doesen't fix the problem.

Do you think all of these problems may be due to the previous short circuit on the cpu because of thermal paste?

Hi,

After several attempts and after several tests I realized that the problem of minipc is caused from CPU Intel I7 on motherboard.
The Minipc doesn't turn on because the heat has partially unsoldered the CPU from the Motherboard.

I saw on the forum that this problem occurs often.
Probably is a small defect manufacturing or design flaw of this model with I7-5xxxxx

I have the same issue with my new i5 unit

is there any official diagnosis from manufacturer?
it is really frustrating that there is no solution and need to send it back under warranty - you are not testing your products at all??

Sorry for the problem, we are doing our best to raise the quality control
1. make sure using low power 1.35V DDR3L laptop memory;
2. pls remove power adapter before adjust memory and other onboard parts;
3. try replug the CMOS battery to clear the memory in CMOS battery;
4. make the four screws on the I/O side a little loose

I own of a 5257U i5 and same problem
I want use as HTPC and no wake up from standby and no can wake on lan from teamviewer
What is the solution for this?
